What Happens if Children Don’t Wear Correct School Uniform

If children come to school not dressed in the proper uniform, staff will either make a phone call home so parents can bring the correct uniform to school, or lend them the correct uniform. This must be given back at the end of the day. The same will apply to PE kit, and to children not wearing the correct footwear.

School uniform, without the Orchards School logo, can be purchased at any local shops such as ASDA or Tesco.

Branded Uniform

We believe that school uniform is very important in making children feel part of the school. The uniform is practical, enhances the tone and atmosphere, and helps maintain pupil pride in the school. This is backed up by recent research - a study found that a uniform promotes commonality among pupils, improves concentration and fosters a sense of pride, especially when worn in public.

The advantage of wearing a school uniform has become more pertinent at a time when many fear our young people are unhappier than ever before and in this particular context, peer pressure to conform to latest fashion items.

All of the uniform is available from local shops or chain stores.
